We have learned with deep sorrow that today (20 June 2017) a terrorist attack perpetrated against the Wadajir District Headquarters in Mogadishu has claimed many civilian lives, and injured many others, including the Wadajir District Commissioner.

We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack.

We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, convey our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wish speedy recovery to the wounded.

Turkey will continue to stand by the Somali people and its Government in the fight against terrorism.
