NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will pay a visit to Turkey on 8-9 September 2016 to demonstrate again Alliance’s solidarity after the attempted coup d'état on 15th of July.

On this occasion, Mr. Secretary General will be received by H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and H.E. Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. He will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Chief of General Staff General Hulusi Akar and Minister of National Defence İsmet Yılmaz. Mr. Secretary General will also meet with the Acting Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mr. Akif Hamzaçebi and will see on the spot damages caused by the heinous attack targeted the Assembly on the 15th of July.

At these meetings, views will be exchanged on the attempted coup d'état, FETÖ/PDY threat, regional outlook and challenges as well as the deliverables of the Warsaw Summit.
