We strongly condemn the appalling airstrike carried out by the regime forces, targeting Kamuna IDP camp in Sarmada village of the Idlib province, located right along our border, which provide refuge to Syrians fleeing the regime’s brutality.

We wish God’s mercy for the civilians who were targeted and killed in this attack, which constitutes yet another unacceptable example of the regime’s repetitive violations of international humanitarian law. We extend our wishes for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

This airstrike is yet another clear and grave demonstration of the fact that the regime does not, in any way, take the efforts for advancing the Cessation of Hostilities and the political process seriously.

Regime’s supporters, first and foremost Russia, must stop trying to exonerate regime’s deliberate attacks on civilians and justify this inhumane practices. Failing to do so will amount to complicity in these grave crimes that are being defiantly committed against humanity.
