Press Release Regarding the Suicide Attack Perpetrated in the Province of Paktika, Afghanistan

We have learned with deep sorrow that 9 people lost their lives and more than 50 people, including children, got injured in the suicide attack perpetrated in an area where a sports competition was taking place in the province of Paktika, Afghanistan on 27 September 2015.
We strongly condemn this heinous attack which adds up to the terrorist acts targeting Afghanistan’s peace and stability. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their relatives and wish a speedy recovery for the injured.
These terrorist attacks which constitute a crime against humanity will never be able to interrupt Afghanistan’s unwavering efforts towards building a stable future. On this occasion, we once again reiterate that our solidarity with friendly and brotherly Afghanistan and support to its fight against terrorism will be maintained.
