The Fifth Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) hosted by Kazakhstan will be held in Astana, on 10-11 September 2015.

Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, members of the Turkic Council, will attend the Summit and the Council of Heads of States and the Council of Foreign Ministers will convene within its scope.

This year’s Summit will be held on the theme “Cooperation in Information and Media”, emphasizing the impact of rapid development of media and communications technologies on international relations and the importance of increasing the exchange of information among member countries, enjoying common historical and cultural values.

Turkey will be represented by a delegation headed by H.E. İsmet Yılmaz, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey at the Summit and H.E. Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu will attend the Council of Foreign Ministers to be held on 10 September 2015 and hold bilateral talks with his counterparts. Both at the Summit and the meetings to be held in its margins, the parties will discuss the opportunities to reinforce their bilateral relations and cooperation already at the level of strategic partnership with the Turkic Republics and exchange views on regional and international developments of interest to Eurasian region.
