Press Release Regarding the Visit of Foreign Minister H.E.Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to Ukraine

H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will visit Kiev on the occasion of the third meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group (JSPG), which is a subcommittee of Turkey-Ukraine High Level Strategic Council (HLSC).

During the meeting that they will co-chair, Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his counterpart H.E. Mr. Pavlo Klimkin will review our bilateral relations in all their aspects, discuss new opportunities for cooperation, and exchange views comprehensively on regional and international issues particularly the situation of the Crimean Turks and the latest developments in eastern Ukraine.

Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is expected to be received by H.E. Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, to come together with the leaders of Crimean Turks, and to give a conference in Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University on “Turkish Foreign Policy, Ukrainian Crisis and the Turkish-Ukrainian Relations.” Foreign Minister H. E. Çavuşoğlu will also visit the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Kiev headed by Chief Monitor Ambassador Ertuğrul Apakan.
