H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will participate in the 4th Ministerial Conference of Istanbul Process on Afghanistan to be held in Beijing on 30-31 October 2014 to be hosted by the People’s Republic of China.

Turkey maintains its active role in the “İstanbul Process on Regional Security and Cooperation for a Secure and Stable Afghanistan” launched at the Istanbul Conference for Afghanistan” hosted by Turkey on 2 November 2011 in order to contribute to lasting stability in and around Afghanistan through the enhancement of regional cooperation focused on Afghanistan.

The Ministerial Conference will be co-chaired by Afghanistan and the People’s Republic of China, and it will be attended, apart from Turkey, by 13 regional countries, supporting countries as well as regional and international organizations.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of some of the participating countries in the margins of the Conference.
